So I have made a google map which outlines where I am going.  If you haven't ever tried this please do.  It is a great way to plan your trip and put marks at points of interest so you know where you could possibly go.  All you need is a google account and then start a new map in My Places on the Google Map.

and here is a video which explains how to use My Places although this video is in the older format, it is much the same. eg Instead of My Maps you now have My Places.
