Which was a great stopping place for people moving West in the old days. Very elegant! We enjoyed a meal there I had Prince Edward Island mussels- very small compared to NZ but tasty.
Hunter proved she was her mother's daughter with this photograph. Two generations with a funny face pull.
The day was extremely hot and we languished a bit in the leafy mall of Pearl Street and spent a bit of time just enjoying the prettiness of the place.
Hunter saw her car there, but some man drove it away.
A squirrel was collecting food and storing it in the gardens and I felt sorry for him knowing that some gardener would probably come and dig up his secret stash before winter arrived.
I missed the best picture of him which was at the base of a rock with a water wall drinking furiously. Found another art shop with a beautiful oil painting of fall aspens
which i could easily have taken home the colours were so rich and it looked different from every angle
There were also some lovely glass pieces in there too my favourite being this one
Nita met us at the Rio Grande mexican restaurant, Terry had to try to finish a project at work.
where we had a good meal followed up with sopipillas which i will need to check spelling of. With agave syrup yummy
We went to the farmers market as well- lots of tasty treats on offer there.
We walked back to the car still in the heat at about 7.30 And went home early, missing the concert as I had to get up early to drive to Colorado springs the next day. Up at 5 and away at 6am to reach school in time.
